SATURDAY
Trust-Based Learning and Compassionate Communication (T.L.C.) and Spook-busting!
You will begin with Anna's exclusive Trust-Based Learning and Compassionate Communication. This is the foundation of the ROTH program's in-hand work... and there's a reason for it. You will create a solid footing with your horse, set him up for success, and achieve that connection of grace and ease you've always imagined. Say goodbye to frustration, struggle, confusion, misunderstanding, flaring tempers, fear and anxiety for both you and your horse.

Instead, welcome to a new way of thinking, a new way of being.

Using Anna’s T.L.C. methods, you will be able to:

• Understand the importance of intimacy and relaxation exercises and how to use them correctly
• Overcome your horse’s challenging habits and behavior patterns
• Prepare your young horse for his first saddle, bridle and rider
• Prepare your horse for doctoring and medical examinations/emergencies
• Earn your horse’s trust and learn how to continue to gain and build his trust

The mystery of desensitization is solved! 

Once you've established a great foundation and connection you will learn the secrets of how to "spook-bust" your horse. You will replace stress, flooding, and struggle with ease, quiet, communication and you will understand the tools that you can apply to just about any situation.  From everyday objects to those potentially dangerous surprises, this day will help you navigate them all.

These techniques are designed for anyone.  From working with a green horse to trail riding and show ring activities, right through to working with the well seasoned dressage horse, show-jumper, western pleasure or in general performance; you will find the solutions you need here.

You will learn how to:

• Become creative with spook-busting instruments like streamers, pan lids, sparklers, horns, fans, silly string, balls and even golf carts!
• Replace fear, concern and stress (bolting, rearing, bucking, balking & spinning) with confidence, calmness and comfort.
• Use steps for "flagging" your horse without flooding.
• Delve deeper, exploring practices vital to true horsemanship
• And much, much more

Anna will take you through the steps of stress-free, partnership-based desensitizing like you've never seen. 

You will have a clear understanding of how to shape your horse's behavior.  You will learn to listen to his personal needs and truly create that genuine trust-based relationship you've always wanted.

And That Is Only Day 1!

SUNDAY:
Obstacle Course In Hand & Intuitive Riding
Hard to believe that you squeezed all that in Day 1! But we are going to jump right back into it. On day 2 you will "jump into the deep end" of equine communication!

The obstacle course is one of the most effective tools in horsemanship. You will learn how to communicate effectively with your horse, truly gaining the partnership and connection needed for anything you do with your horse. It is a wonderful way to take your partnership to a much deeper level and have a whole lotta fun in the process. It is also a true test of partnership. Work with your horse to clarify your communication and connect through unspoken words, explore your horses’ true language and translate all of it to your hand!

Anna developed the course almost 20 years ago, and since then thousands of her students from all over the world have worked with the Obstacle Course for a myriad of uses.

You will learn how to apply this safe and effective training approach to solve all sorts of problems and determine your horse's learning style. From preparing horses for the trail, engaging school and therapeutic riding horses, spook-busting, through to establishing a communication system with performance horses and honoring the needs of the retirees, Anna will show you how to read the subtleties of your horse's body language and direct your horse on the ground.

Next comes the Grand Finale...

You will put everything from the 2-days together and head to the saddle for a fun, effective and powerful lesson in communication, connection and desensitization.
